Responsible Gambling Policy

At Nexoragrand Stay, we believe that gambling should always be an enjoyable and entertaining experience. We are deeply committed to providing a safe, fair, and responsible environment for all of our guests. This policy has been prepared and is maintained by Nexoragrand Stay Hospitality Inc, located at 3 Dundas St E, Toronto, ON M7A 2B1, Canada. We understand that for some individuals, gambling can become a serious concern, and we want every guest to know that support, resources, and compassionate assistance are always available.

Our Commitment

Nexoragrand Stay is fully committed to promoting responsible gambling practices across all areas of our casino and hospitality operations. Our dedication goes beyond regulatory compliance — we genuinely care about the well-being of every person who walks through our doors.

As part of our commitment, we pledge to:

  • Provide clear, honest, and transparent information about the risks associated with gambling.
  • Train our staff to recognize early signs of problem gambling and to respond with sensitivity and respect.
  • Offer practical self-help tools and resources to all guests who may need assistance.
  • Maintain a gambling environment that is free from coercion, pressure, or manipulation.
  • Collaborate with recognized responsible gambling organizations to continuously improve our practices.
  • Never target vulnerable individuals or those who have self-excluded with gambling promotions.
  • Ensure that gambling is presented as entertainment, not as a means to generate income or solve financial difficulties.

We encourage you to set personal limits before you begin playing, take regular breaks, and always gamble within your means. Remember: it is perfectly acceptable — and encouraged — to walk away at any time.

18+ Age Policy

All gambling activities at Nexoragrand Stay are strictly restricted to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. This is both a legal requirement under Ontario law and a moral obligation we take very seriously.

To protect minors and ensure compliance:

  • Valid government-issued photo identification will be requested from any guest who appears to be under the age of 25, without exception.
  • Accepted forms of identification include a valid passport, provincial driver's licence, or national identity card.
  • Any individual who is unable to provide adequate proof of age will be refused entry to the casino floor.
  • Minors are not permitted to accompany adults onto the casino floor or to participate in any gambling activity on our premises.
  • Staff members are trained to challenge and check identification at any point during a guest's visit if there is any doubt about their age.

We thank our guests for their understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone. If you are aware of a minor attempting to access gambling facilities on our premises, please notify a member of our team immediately.

Recognizing the Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or financial situation. It often develops gradually, and many people are unaware that their gambling habits have become harmful. We encourage you to reflect honestly on your own gambling behaviour and to look out for the well-being of those around you.

Some common warning signs that gambling may be becoming a problem include:

  • Spending more money on gambling than you can comfortably afford to lose.
  • Gambling with money that is meant for essential expenses such as rent, bills, or food.
  • Feeling a strong, uncontrollable urge to gamble and finding it difficult to stop.
  • Chasing losses — continuing to gamble in an attempt to win back money that has been lost.
  • Lying to family members, friends, or colleagues about the amount of time or money spent gambling.
  • Neglecting work, family responsibilities, or personal health due to gambling.
  • Feeling anxious, irritable, or restless when not gambling or when attempting to reduce gambling activity.
  • Borrowing money, selling possessions, or engaging in dishonest behaviour in order to fund gambling.
  • Using gambling as a way to escape stress, depression, loneliness, or other emotional difficulties.
  • Feeling guilt or remorse after gambling sessions, yet continuing to gamble despite these feelings.

If any of these signs resonate with you or someone you know, please do not hesitate to seek help. Reaching out is a sign of courage and strength, and effective support is available. You do not have to face this alone.

Self-Exclusion and Responsible Gambling Tools

We offer a range of practical tools designed to help you stay in control of your gambling. We encourage every guest to make use of these options at any time, without any judgement or pressure from our team.

Self-Exclusion Program

Our self-exclusion program allows you to voluntarily ban yourself from the casino floor at Nexoragrand Stay for a defined period of time or on a permanent basis. During your period of self-exclusion:

  • You will be refused entry to the casino floor.
  • Your details will be removed from all promotional and marketing communications.
  • Our staff will be notified and will respectfully ask you to leave if you attempt to enter the casino.

To enrol in our self-exclusion program, please speak confidentially with a member of our Guest Services or Casino Management team. You may also contact us in writing. All requests are handled with complete discretion and compassion.

Ontario's PlaySmart Self-Exclusion Program

In addition to our in-house program, we participate in and support PlaySmart, the responsible gambling program operated by OLG (Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation). Through PlaySmart, you can register for a province-wide self-exclusion that applies to all regulated gambling facilities across Ontario.

  • Visit playsmart.ca for more information and to register.

Additional Responsible Gambling Tools

  • Deposit and spending limits: Set a personal budget before you begin gambling and commit to staying within it.
  • Time limits: Decide in advance how long you will gamble, and set an alarm or reminder to help you stick to your plan.
  • Reality checks: Ask a member of our staff for a friendly check-in to help you stay aware of how long and how much you have been playing.
  • Cool-off periods: Request a short-term break from the casino floor without committing to full self-exclusion.
  • Confidential conversations: Speak privately with a trained member of our team at any time — we are here to listen and to help without judgement.
